For all cargo to Equatorial Guinea, the shipper or his authorized forwarder must obtain an "ELECTRONIC CARGO TRACKING NOTE (ECTN) / FORMULARIO ELECTRÓNICO PARA EL SEGUIMIENTO DE OPERACIONES (FESO)", also known as a cargo waiver, at the port of loading. The number of this certificate must be noted in the cargo documents (bill of lading, cargo manifest). Incoming cargo without a valid/approved ECTN/FESO is subject to a handling/delivery ban by the local authorities and will incur penalties and costs.
Required documents and information:
- Copy bill of lading, correctly dated
- Commercial invoice, with FOB value of goods and ocean freight costs shown separately (otherwise an ocean freight invoice or ocean freight declaration is also required)
- Export Customs Document
- Country of Origin
