All cargo to Burkina Faso (in transit via Abidjan, Lome, Cotonou and Tema etc.) must be accompanied by an "ELECTRONIC CARGO TRACKING NOTE (ECTN) / BORDEREAU ELECTRONIQUE DE SUIVI DE CARGAISON (BESC)", also known as a cargo waiver. The number of this certificate (URN - Unique Registration Number) must be noted in the cargo documents (bill of lading and cargo manifest).
Documents and information required:
- Copy bill of lading
- Transhipment details during the voyage
- Commercial invoice, with FOB value of goods and ocean freight costs shown separately (otherwise an ocean freight invoice or ocean freight declaration is also required)
- Country of Origin
- Export Customs Declaration
- Packing list
