The company M+S Mehrtens & Schwickerath GmbH was founded in 1982 as an independent liner agent in Bremen and has been privately owned ever since.
Due to the rapid development and expansion of our liner activities, an office in Hamburg was opened at an early stage. The expansion of the range of services offered beyond the area of liner shipping was consistently pursued and new business areas were occupied. In order to ensure short decision-making processes and the opportunity to meet the requirements and wishes of customers with the greatest possible flexibility, various activities were outsourced into smaller and more manageable business units.
As an owner-managed company, we believe in the importance of shipping for international trade and advancing globalization and, in this sense, we face future developments and challenges.
